Analytics & no-JavaScript visitors

I use PostHog, self-hosted under e.clearminds.se, to understand which pages people read and how the site performs. It runs in cookieless mode by default — no cookies are set and no persistent identifier is stored on your device until you explicitly accept the cookie banner.

If you visit with JavaScript disabled, the prerendered HTML still includes a single 1×1 tracking pixel that records an anonymous $pageview event with the page URL. The pixel sets no cookies and sends no identifier beyond $anonymous. Because there is no JavaScript running on these pages, I cannot show a dismissible consent banner or remember an opt-out choice between visits — so the opt-out has to happen in your browser:

• Block requests to e.clearminds.se with your browser, ad blocker, or a content-blocking extension (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, NextDNS, Pi-hole, etc.).
• Enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control — when JavaScript is enabled, PostHog honours both and will not start a session.
• Use a privacy-respecting browser (Brave, Firefox with strict tracking protection, Safari with iCloud Private Relay) — these already block most analytics pixels by default.
